Eastern Highway Powering Through China PDF Print E-mail

With the earlier customs setback now well and truly in the rearview mirror, the Eastern Highway Green Team is now eating up the kilometers on China’s vast expanse of highways. At present, the Green team is moving through Hunan Province and will spend the night of Thursday, November 8th in the city of Changsa.

The earlier setback forced the Green Team to alter its China route in order to make the China/Vietnam border by the 13th of November for the planned crossing. As such, a visit to Shanghai and another planned media event had to be cancelled. The Team will need to be on the road everyday now until a rest in Hanoi on November 14th.

“It’s been disappointing to cancel the PR events and Somsak really wanted to see Shanghai,” said Head Engineer Daniel Kim. “The concentrated driving burden is taking its toll. We’re all a bit moody and irritable. But we’re rolling with punches,” he laughs.
