Pingxiang, Guangxi Province, China
The Eastern Route of the Green Highways will today cross the Chinese/Vietnam border before spending the night in capital city, Hanoi. The Green Team received all approvals for the vehicles to exit from customs at the border town of Pingxiang, Guangxi province yesterday evening.
The Green Team has been rejuvenated by the incredibly beautiful Guangxi Province. After almost a week on China’s expressways it was quite literally a breath of fresh air as the Eastern Route took in the remarkable countryside of Guilin’s famed Dragon Tooth Mountains as well as the striking elegance of the cascading Detian Falls.
“Guangxi Province has a majestic beauty,” said conversion mechanic Aaron (Seokjoong) Park. “Not just the scenery, the bright eyes and smiles of the people who wave at us is really spurring us on.”
While there are no PR events lined up for Vietnam, two interviews have been scheduled with newspaper reporters. Reporters from the English language daily Vietnam News and local language daily the Lao Dong will interview Green Team members in Hanoi tomorrow morning.
